A cheeky bluebottle teased a frog.
It really was quite sad.
He buzzed around the poor frog’s head
And tried to drive him mad.
Another bluebottle laughed at him:
“He isn’t real” he said.
“He’s just an ornamental frog.
Try that other one instead.”
The other frog sat oh so still.
You’d think that he was dead.
The stupid bluebottle looked at him:
“Yes, I’ll tease him instead.”
He tootled off across the pond:
“Well, I’m sure he can’t be real” –
But as he buzzed a tongue shot out
And he became a froggy meal.
