Ladybird for poem

A ladybird sits on a flower,

     Enjoying Sunday lunch.

“What's so very tasty then

     To crunch, crunch, crunch?"

"What have you discovered

     To munch on in July?”

"While you like beef for dinner,

     I much prefer greenfly."

“I’m stocking up on foodstuffs

     Before the winter comes.

There are lots of tasty insects

Which are going in my tum."

"Now I’m off to find a rose bush

For this meal is at its end.

I eat things that kill your plants

     So I'm the gardener’s friend.”
