Brown and white page heading

Five tasty minibeasts

    Sitting on the ground.

Along came a blackbird:

'What a juicy worm I’ve found.'

Four tasty minibeasts -

And all quite plain to see:

Along came a duckling

And grabbed a slug for tea.

Three tasty minibeasts -

    All gathered in a bunch.

A robin caught a caterpillar

And ate him up for lunch.

Two tasty minibeasts -

    A spider and a fly.

A lovely thrush ate one of them

Which I think was rather sly.

One well-fed spider:

     Oh, now the story’s grim:

Big black crows like spiders,

So that’s the end of him.
